Phase ? What the heck is phase? part 2   1 comment

Here’s the 2nd part of a series of screen captures I’m doing for people starting out working with dual channel FFT analysers.

I hope you enjoy this 1 and hope it with clarify the phase stuff a bit.

Here is a more detailed description on the phase display.

17.4cm/0.5ms=360º of phase shift @2kHz001 mic @17.4cm 360º 2K copy

34.8cm/1ms=360º of phase shift @1kHz (sorry this 1 is missing for now. I’ll upload it as soon as i can 😉 )

-17.4cm/-0.5ms=-360º of phase shift @2kHz003 mic @ -17.4cm -360º 2K copy

Changing the view from -180º/+180º to -360º/0º004 mic @-34.8cm -360º 1K

Changing the view from -180º/+180º to -360º/0º005 view to -360:0

-34.8cm/-1ms=-360º of phase shift @1kHz006 view 0:-360 text edit

This screen capture is also on YOUTUBE

This screen capture is also on VIMEO
