It’s nice to see the behavior of a “Line array” change when more loudspeakers are added . This is going to be set of 4 for small jobs . So no flying of stuff and the “line” is not long enough to have the benefit of a “full line array” but still i got some interesting data (nothing new but it’s a good example of the logarithmic build up at the low-mid end of a small line of 4)

So here’s a picture of the set-up

So here’s 1 cabinet at very close range for the processor settings . Only x-overs delay and eq’s (so no allpass filters or phase filters) available within this amp (processing inside the amp).

Now the build up in the mid section just 1 line array cell . (taken at some distance of the array) .

so in this case 20log(1/1)

2 line array cells . (taken at some distance of the array) .

so in this case 20log(2/1)=+6db theoretical .

3 line array cells . (taken at some distance of the array) .

so in this case 20log(3/1)=+9.5db theoretical .

4 line array cells . (taken at some distance of the array) .

so in this case 20log(4/1)=+12db theoretical .
